This year, AdaptWest, Resilient East, Resilient South, and Resilient Hills and Coasts have come together to deliver a series of webinars on a range of sustainability and climate ready homes topics. The webinar will be presented by the energy experts at Renew, who have been providing independent information on household sustainability for over 40 years.
This series is brought to you by Renew on behalf Adapt West, Resilient East, Resilient South and Resilient Hills & Coasts. These Regional Climate Partnerships represent 20 local governments across Adelaide and surrounding regions.
About the webinars
The webinars will be held on Zoom, on Tuesday or Thursday nights between 6.30 -8:00pm.
They will all be introduced by a different partner council, have one hour of expert chat, and plenty of time for questions.

Winter Comfort for Renters
Held Tuesday 16th May
In this session we explained energy saving measures like draught proofing window coverings, and more efficient use of heating and hot water to help you find ways to reduce your energy bills, with tips on reading your bills and understanding your energy usage. We also discussed strategies for approaching your landlord for appliance upgrades.
Held Tuesday 23rd May
In this session we explored ways to improve the comfort and energy efficiency of your home, and explained which steps to take first to save money and stay warmer this winter. We unpacked energy saving measures like draught proofing, insulation, heating, hot water and double glazing, and helped you discover ways to take control of your bills, with tips on reading your bill and understanding your energy usage.

In this webinar we delved into electric vehicles: what sort of home setup is required, and what are things to look out for when thinking about buying one.
Buying Green Power
Held Tuesday 4th July
In this session we be explored GreenPower, the government accredited renewable energy product offered by most electricity retailers to households and businesses in Australia. What actually is GreenPower, and does it live up to its name?
Held - Tuesday 25th July
Going all-electric is an essential step in making your home as sustainable as it can be. In this session we explored in detail how and when to transition away from gas, offer tips on creating an efficient all-electric home, and outline the benefits environmentally and economically.
